Stuart is the Managing Director, Chief Security Officer, and Chief Information Security Officer of WorkSec. With more than 20 years of experience in enterprise security, ICT, and Defence, Stuart is a seasoned leader specialising in strategic planning, risk management, and operational excellence. Recognising the critical talent shortage in the Defence Industry, Stuart founded WorkSec to address personnel security governance challenges and strengthen Australia’s sovereign capability.

His career spans executive leadership in IT, cyber security, and Defence, where he has applied his expertise in governance, compliance, and operational oversight to deliver sustainable outcomes. Known as a “strategic activator”, Stuart combines visionary thinking with a decisive, action-oriented approach, ensuring ideas are swiftly transformed into practical results. This skill allows him to navigate complex challenges, drive innovation, and inspire teams to deliver on long-term strategic goals.

Stuart holds a Master’s Degree in Management, a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and the Australian Centre for Business Growth. Currently completing his MBA, he has also served as a non-executive board member for several organisations and associations. With his blend of technical insight, governance expertise, and strategic activation, Stuart continues to guide WorkSec in delivering Trusted Workforce solutions that align with Australia’s national security priorities.

Sari is WorkSec’s Director Culture & Brand, a recognised thought leader in business transformation, growth, and trusted leadership. With more than thirty years’ experience building and leading Dream Teams across financial services, sales, technology, and personnel security, Sari brings a unique 360-degree approach that blends governance, risk and compliance with creativity, brand strategy, and cultural development. A twice-published author and best-selling podcast producer and host, she is widely respected for her ability to translate complex ideas into practical frameworks for people and businesses to thrive.

At WorkSec, Sari is responsible for refining the company’s brand identity, embedding a strong Employee Value Proposition, and collaborating with the executive team to build a Trusted Workforce culture with Trusted Leadership at its core. She is shaping and maturing WorkSec’s key service offerings, including the Security Officer as a Service (SOaaS) and Trusted Workforce Program for Individuals (TWPI), ensuring they deliver both compliance assurance and high-touch client value. Her focus also includes enhancing the Employment Suitability Check (ESC) framework and advancing WorkSec’s governance and reporting models to meet evolving DISP and AGSVA requirements.

Sari continues to research and anticipate shifts in Defence and Government legislation, DISP, and PSPF/DSPF frameworks, ensuring WorkSec remains a leader in personnel security governance. She is currently developing her third book, ‘Trusted – A Playbook for Leaders’, which will showcase her Trusted Leadership model and the lessons drawn from WorkSec’s own journey. Matt Kirk

As Director Trusted Workforce, Matt brings more than three decades of leadership across global financial markets and, since 2020, the Australian security clearance sector. He was first engaged to design, staff, and scale a Security Clearances Capability for a DISP-accredited private company, growing a specialist team that facilitated more than 4,000 AGSVA security clearances at Baseline, NV1, and NV2 levels. Today, he leads WorkSec’s Trusted Workforce program, building and mentoring a team of Security Advisors to deliver enhanced services that get individuals and organisations “Defence and Government Ready.”

Prior to entering the personnel security space, Matt had a distinguished career in financial markets as a sought-after speaker, trader, and commentator. He co-authored the Private Trader’s Handbook: Bullseye – Top Trader Thinking (Wiley, 2006/2007) and has advised clients ranging from private investors to banks, institutions, and multinational corporations. His ability to manage portfolios of all sizes (from tens of thousands to over a billion dollars) established his reputation for commercial acumen, risk management, and operational precision.

Matt’s unique blend of compliance knowledge, distribution expertise, and leadership continues to shape the growth of WorkSec. He has built referral and distribution networks with Australia’s leading Defence and Government recruitment companies, while also securing partnerships with some of the world’s most recognisable brands, including Amazon, Google, Salesforce and Rolls-Royce. Kieran

Kieran is WorkSec’s National Manager Security Clearances and one of Australia’s most experienced industry-based Security Officers. Since joining as part of the pilot team delivering the first outsourced Security Clearance Capability for a DISP member, Kieran has been instrumental in shaping the policies and procedures that underpin today’s clearance sponsorship and governance practices. His work has laid the foundation for how individuals and corporate clients navigate the complex DISP and PSPF requirements with confidence.

Over his career, Kieran has assisted thousands of clearance applicants across Baseline, NV1, and NV2 levels, guiding them seamlessly through evolving AGSVA processes and DISP compliance obligations. His expertise spans the DISP Security Officer Dashboard, myClearance, DSPF and PSPF frameworks, as well as logistics, scheduling, and management reporting. Known for his integrity, maturity, and loyalty, Kieran is also a gifted leader, fostering inclusive team environments and mentoring new security officers to uphold the highest standards.

Natasha is one of WorkSec’s most experienced Senior Security Advisors, specialising in personnel security governance across Defence and Government contracts. She interprets and applies PSPF, DSPF, DISP, and AGSVA requirements, guiding clearance holders through Employment Suitability Checks, AGSVA myClearance applications, security awareness training, and ongoing DISP compliance. Natasha plays a central role in shaping WorkSec’s governance frameworks, policies, and training programs, ensuring the Trusted Workforce operates at the highest standards.

With a professional background spanning business management, operations, and client services across industries including healthcare, travel, and manufacturing, Natasha brings a diverse and adaptable skillset to her role. She is highly regarded for her ability to build strong relationships, resolve complex challenges, and quickly master new systems and technologies. A Bachelor of Business Management and Registered Midwife, Natasha embodies a rare combination of technical rigour, compassion, and leadership.

Her mandate is to ensure robust governance over the WorkSec Trusted Workforce, supporting security-cleared personnel contracting into Defence and Government agencies. Renee’s role spans shaping security principles and policies, mentoring new staff, and contributing to the continuous improvement of security processes across the organisation.

Renee was part of the pioneering pilot team that helped design and deliver the Security Clearances Capability for a DISP-accredited corporate client – laying the groundwork for many of the procedures and standards WorkSec applies today. With a diverse background in business management, operations, and client support, she brings a unique mix of precision, adaptability, and people-first leadership. Her ability to forge partnerships, resolve complex challenges, and embrace new systems quickly has made her a highly trusted and effective advisor.

As a former RAAF Ground Defence Officer, Willem served for 12 years in leadership, training, and operational security roles, managing teams of up to 30 personnel and overseeing base, asset, and force protection in Australia and overseas. His expertise includes operational planning, risk assessment, security instruction, and the development of training programs that streamlined readiness and improved mission outcomes.

At WorkSec, Willem applies this Defence-honed discipline and leadership to supporting clients and clearance holders through Employment Suitability Checks, AGSVA myClearance applications, and DISP/AGSVA governance. He has been instrumental in refining Standard Operating Procedures, developing training pathways, and contributing to the continuous improvement of WorkSec’s governance frameworks.
