Australian Industry & Defence Network (AIDN)

AIDN, the premier network supporting Australia's defence SMEs through advocacy, networking, and essential industry resources.

WorkSec & AIDN

WorkSec is a proud member of the Australian Industry & Defence Network (AIDN), the peak national body representing SMEs in the defence sector. Membership provides WorkSec with access to a strong network of industry peers, timely defence and security insights, and opportunities to collaborate in strengthening Australia’s sovereign defence capability.

About AIDN

Established in 1995, AIDN has evolved through a series of incorporated associations, ultimately merging to become the Peak Federal Industry Association representing SMEs in the Defence sector.

The Australian defence industry is a vital contributor to the national economy, employing 61,600 people and generating $10.6 billion in the 2021–22 financial year (as per December 2022 data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics). In today’s geopolitical climate, this sector holds significant potential for further growth and contribution to Australia’s overall defence capability.

For AIDN, networking is the lifeblood of their strategy and purpose. They encourage businesses to actively engage with their network, seeking opportunities to collaborate and work alongside like-minded organisations within the Defence Industry. The Defence Force relies on their support as a fundamental input to capability. Their efforts, combined with those of their members, strengthen the nation’s ability to defend itself.
