WorkSec & ISO/IEC 27001
Trust is central to WorkSec’s business. Our clients entrust us with information relating to their organisations, people and security requirements, making the protection and responsible management of information fundamental to the services we provide.
Our ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification demonstrates that WorkSec operates an independently assessed Information Security Management System (ISMS) for managing information security risks and protecting the information entrusted to us.
About ISO/IEC 27001
ISO/IEC 27001:2022 is the internationally recognised standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS). It establishes requirements for organisations to systematically identify, assess and manage information security risks.
The framework takes a risk-based approach to information security, bringing together people, processes, policies and technology within a structured management system that is maintained and continually improved.
Information Security Management
An ISO/IEC 27001 information security management system provides a structured approach to:
- Information security risk management – identifying, assessing and treating risks to information and supporting systems.
- Protecting information – applying appropriate controls to support the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information.
- Governance and accountability – establishing clear responsibilities, policies and processes for managing information security.
- Continual improvement – monitoring and reviewing the effectiveness of the ISMS as threats, technologies and business requirements change.
Certification
ISO/IEC 27001 certification provides independent assurance that an organisation has established and operates an information security management system that meets the requirements of the standard.
- Risk assessment and treatment – understanding information security risks and determining how they will be managed.
- Security controls – selecting and implementing controls appropriate to the organisation’s risks and operating environment.
- Monitoring and review – assessing the effectiveness of the ISMS through ongoing monitoring, internal audit and management review.
- Independent assessment – external assessment of the ISMS against the requirements of ISO/IEC 27001.
